Infrastructure
Radiochemistry laboratory:
- A dedicated IBA 18/ 9 cyclone cyclotron
- Laboratories of types B and C for handling radioactive materials
- Six hot cells for performing radioactive syntheses
- Analytical tools such as UV/VIS spectrophotometer, liquid scintillation (beta) and gamma counters, RadioGC, HPLC coupled with UV and gamma-detection and Radio TLC.
The GMP facilities:
The GMP facilities allow the manufacturing of safe radiopharmaceuticals for human application in compliance with Good manufacturing practice (GMP). The site is licensed by Swissmedic. For the labelling of a variety of substances there are different types of synthesis modules all being automated and software controlled so that no manual interaction is required.
